Perrault's Fairy Tales / Beautifully Illustrated by Edmund Dulac / Folio Society, London / Good Condition / Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty etc.

Just a beautiful book in all aspects. Here is a vintage copy of The Fairy Tales of Charles Perrault published in 2003 by The Folio Society, London. Beautifully decorated and illustrated throughout by Edmund Dulac and in the original slipcase box. Printed on Caxton Wove paper and bound in full dark red decorative Buckram cloth. The book is in good condition, with just a couple of small condition points to note (see below). Appears to have hardly ever been out of the box.

Contains: Sleeping Beauty; Little Red Riding Hood; Blue Beard; Puss in Boots; The Fairy; Cinderella; Riquet-with-the-Tuft; Hop-o'-my-Thumb and Beauty and the Beast.

Inside the contents are in excellent condition with bright, clean and tightly bound pages that have not been written in. With wonderful decorative head and tail pieces and with a number of colour plates (see photos). The top edge is tinted red to match the colour scheme. Has some spotting to the closed fore-edge (see final photo).

Dark red cloth covered boards are also spotless and the charming decoration is as new.

In the original dark red slipcase box which is clean, smart and sturdy. Has one slight bump to the top corner, with a mild bump also to the top front spine of the book (see close-up photo), but this is minor.
