1950s Complete Set of The Novels of Jane Austen - Illustrated Vintage Books

In very good condition here is an extremely scarce vintage set of the novels of Jane Austen. Undated but these would have been published in the 1950s by The Reader's Union of London by arrangement with JM Dent & Sons who produced the original edition in 1950. All with sixteen delightful colour illustrations by CE Brock and all in good condition with bright colours.

Comprising: Sense and Sensibility; Pride and Prejudice; Mansfield Park; Emma; Northanger Abbey and Persuasion.

Inside the contents are very good with the pages being clean, bright and tightly bound. The main point to note being some crinkling/creasing to the paper of some of the colour plates (see photos). With a small inked name and date to the front free endpapers, but no other inscriptions or markings of previous ownership.

In wonderful bright coloured boards with shiny gilt titles. Sense and Sensibility has some faint light mottling marks to the front board (see photos). Mansfield Park has a bump to the top front corner. Otherwise with just the odd light mark - but minor. An extremely eye-catching set.
