Here is a vintage historical fiction book, undated but with an inked inscription from Xmas 1929. The Life of William Wallace, or The Scottish Chiefs by Jane Porter. Published by Simpkin Marshall Ltd, London. In good condition.
Inside the book opens onto the above-mentioned inked inscription on the front free endpaper (see photos). Has a black and white frontispiece illustration, else unillustrated. The pages are clean and tightly bound, with tanning and some spotting to the outside edges (see photos). A few of the pages near the beginning have mild creasing to the bottom corners.
Pale olive-green cloth covered boards have dark green titles to the front and spine. In top order, clean and smart with just a couple of very faint light marks on the front.
Your vintage copy of The Scottish Chiefs (The Life of William Wallace) will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message to the parcel.
