c1920 Stories From Hans Andersen - Antique - Illustrated by Edmund Dulac

In a scarce dust jacket, here is a lovely antique copy of Stories From Hans Andersen. With superb colour illustrations by Edmund Dulac. Undated but would have been published around the 1920s by Hodder and Stoughton, London. Fairly large in size. With just a little wear to the jacket edges, otherwise in very good condition. Contents: The Snow Queen; The Nightingale; The Real Princess; The Garden of Paradise; The Mermaid; The Emperor's New Clothes; The Wind's Tale.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound, with no writing or markings of previous ownership. One page has a tear at the top, with a little loss (see photos), but in no way effecting the text. Has fourteen tipped-in colour plates - all in excellent condition.

In the scarce original unclipped dust jacket. Comprising blue card with paste down illustration to the front. With some edge wear creases, nicks and chips. These have been stabilised on the reverse side in a few small areas with professional bookbinder's tape. The jacket has now been protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve, and looks very smart indeed.
