In very good condition here is an attractive antique hardback copy of Classic Myth and Legend by AR Hope-Moncrieff. Undated, but research shows it to be a first edition published by The Gresham Publishing Company Ltd in the 1910s. A richly illustrated, lovely book.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound, with just the odd light spot inside and the occasional folded corner. The top closed edge is shiny gilt, with spotting to the other two sides. Has an elegantly-inked inscription dated March 1910 on the frontispiece tissue guard (shown in the photos), but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. With eight colour plates, plus many more in black and white.

In extremely attractive olive green illustrated cloth covered boards with ornate decoration to the front and spine, and gilt titles. All in top order with no real condition points to note apart from slight rubbing to the corners and spine ends.
