In excellent condition, here is an elegant and attractive edition of Mary Shelley's classic work Frankenstein, published by Heron Books in 1973. Has a number of stunning original black and white illustrations by Christain Broutin (see photos) and a pale blue ribbon marker. Appears un-read.

Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, is a novel written by English author Mary Shelley about eccentric scientist Victor Frankenstein, who creates a grotesque creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment. Shelley started writing the story when she was eighteen, and the novel was published when she was twenty. The first edition was published anonymously in London in 1818.

Deep blue/black faux leather boards are in excellent condition with shiny, bright gilt lettering.

The pages inside are also in top order with no writing, marks or inscriptions. The covers open onto pale blue endpapers also with an elaborate gilt pattern. Definitely with the feel of never having been read.

Your vintage copy of Frankenstein will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message to the parcel.
