In excellent condition here is a lovely vintage copy of Daniel Defoe's novel Robinson Crusoe. A faux leather edition in the original slipcase box and also still in the original glassine sleeve - these very rarely survive. Being a first edition thus, published by Collins, London in 1969. With a special gilt stamp on the front to mark the 250th anniversary of the novel's publication. The book appears un-read and is really in top-notch order.

The pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. Has an inked inscription opposite the half-title page dated 1969, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. The book opens with a short biography and ends with a bibliography. This is an unillustrated edition. There is a dark red book marker ribbon sewn-in. The glassine wrapper has a small nick at the bottom of the spine. The top closed edges of the pages are shiny gilt.

The red faux leather is also superb, with gilt titles and snowflakes on the spine.

The original papered slipcase box is also in top condition.

Your vintage copy of Robinson Crusoe will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message to the parcel.
