1966 The Old Man & The Sea by Ernest Hemingway / Jonathan Cape, London / In Excellent Condition With Super Dust Wrapper / Pulitzer Winner
In excellent condition here is a super vintage hardback edition of The Old Man & The Sea by Ernest Hemingway. Originally published in this British edition in 1952 by Jonathan Cape. This copy is a 1966 reprint of that first edition in exactly the same format and jacket.
The Old Man and the Sea was the last major fictional work Hemingway published during his lifetime. It tells the story of Santiago, an aging fisherman, and his long struggle to catch a giant marlin. It won the 1953 Pulitzer Prize.
Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. With just some very slight toning on the closed top edge and a couple of small spots on the outside fore-edge but very minor.
The original orange dust jacket is in top order with just the very slightest of edge wear to spine ends and corners. The colours have remained bright and un-faded.
A tight, clean and smart copy.
Your vintage copy of The Old Man & The Sea will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message to the parcel.
