1948 National Trust Guide - (Historic) Buildings - Illustrated Vintage Book

In absolutely superb (near Fine) condition, here is a vintage hardback copy of the National Trust Guide to Buildings by James Lees-Milne. Being a first edition published in 1948 by BT Batsford, London. With black line drawings and the original dust wrapper, which reads:

More than 100 buildings are described.......Mr Lees-Milne tells of the past history and owners of each property, and he draws attention to the features of architecture, furnishing and decoration which are particularly worth the visitor's attention.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no inscriptions or markings of previous ownership. A little spotting along the closed top edge. Map endpapers show where the properties are located.

Wonderful illustrated dust wrapper is also in top notch condition. Just some very slight rubbing at the head of the spine. Otherwise it has kept the original strong colours and is clean and crisp. To keep it in such good condition it is now protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve.
