In good condition, here is a lovely vintage set of The Birds of the British Isles and Their Eggs by TA Coward. Being a three-volume hardback set published in 1944 by Frederick Warne & Co., London. Packed with hundreds of colour plates and photos. Scarce in the original dust jackets.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has inscriptions to the front free endpapers and another on a couple of pages in of each volume. Volume III has a crease to the frontispiece. All edges are speckled - as published. The colour plates are all in superb order.

Rust brown faux leather boards have gilt decoration to the fronts and spines. In top order having been well protected by the dust wrappers. Volume III being slightly lighter than the other two volumes.

In blue/grey paper dust wrappers. These are scarce. With some shelf-wear along the edges, and some chipping with small areas of loss to the heads of the spines (see photos). Otherwise lovely - being unclipped, clean and smart. They have now been protected for the future by the addition of removable plastic sleeves.
