1943 Sense and Sensibility - Illustrated and Comprehensive - Vintage Jane Austen Book

In absolutely excellent condition here is a superb vintage edition of Jane Austen's classic novel Sense and Sensibility. Published in 1943 by Oxford at the Clarendon Press. One of the most comprehensive editions of her novels. With additional notes, illustrations and facsimile reproductions of the first edition title page, plus early illustrations.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or markings of previous ownership. Some of the pages have rough cut edges, with a few at the end of the book having never been cut open at all. In addition to the text this copy also includes Vocabulary; Grammar; Reading and Writing; Early Editions and an Index of Characters.

In the original price-clipped dust wrapper which is also in top order. Clean and bright. Just has one small nick to the top rear edge. Has a brown stain mark to the bottom of the spine (see photos), and a couple of brown blemishes to the top inner flaps - but minor. Otherwise excellent and this is by far and away the best copy of this edition that I have seen.
