1932 Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll / Lovely Vintage Hardback / Macmillan, London / Richly Illustrated / Good Condition

Here is a lovely vintage edition of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Richly illustrated throughout with the original drawings of John Tenniel (see photos). Published in 1932 by Macmillan and Co., London. Th e larger Copyright edition, using the same format and illustrations as the very first edition by the same publisher. 

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. Shiny gilt on the top edge. The book has developed a lean over time.

In the iconic bright red cloth covered boards with a gilt central vignette on the front and back and gilt titles to the spine. Again in top order, clean and smart. Has some mild bumping along the top front edge. The red on the spine has faded a good deal in comparison with the front and there are also a couple of faded strips on the rear board. The gilt illustrations and titles are shiny bright.
