In excellent condition here is a 1930s vintage copy of The Origin of Species By Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle For Life by Charles Darwin. Published by Odhams Press of London. A scarce book, particularly in such superb vintage condition. The only condition points to note being a few folded corner tips and some mild rubbing to the spine ends.

Dark brown faux leather boards have a central blind stamped pattern and a border around the edges. With bands and gilt decoration to the spine and further blind stamped motifs in each compartment. Has shiny, bright gilt titles and looks excellent on the vintage book shelf.

Opens with a portrait frontispiece of Darwin (see photos). The pages are clean and tightly bound with no inscriptions nor other markings of previous ownership. The tops of the closed page edges are tinted dark brown as published.

Your vintage copy of The Origin of Species will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with message to the parcel.
