1916 Northanger Abbey and Persuasion by Jane Austen - Illustrated Antique Book

In excellent condition, here is a beautifully illustrated antique copy of Jane Austen's two novels: Northanger Abbey and also Persuasion bound together in one volume. Published in 1916 by Macmillan and Co., London. With forty excellent line drawn illustrations by Hugh Thomson. Condition in detail below.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Mild tanning to endpapers. With an inscription dated 1918 on the front free endpaper, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. Has developed a mild lean, with time. Gilt edged on the top, spotting to the other two sides.

Red cloth over boards have ornate gilt decoration to the front and spine. Has a very faint light mark on the front top edge. One small bump to the bottom front corner tip. Otherwise excellent - clean, unfaded and bright.
