1914 Gulliver's Travels - Illustrated Antique Book

In excellent condition, here is a super vintage hardback copy of Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. Undated, but would have been published in 1914 by Ernest Nister, London. Richly illustrated with wonderful black line drawings and six colour plates by AE Jackson.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has an elegantly-inked inscription on the verso of the frontispiece, dated 1912, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. Decorative endpapers and gilt edged on all sides.

Striking bright red cloth over boards have ornate gilt decoration to the front and spine. Again in very good order. The red on the spine has faded in comparison to the front and back, and there is a small dark mark near the top. The gilt and red on the front are lovely and bright.
