In good condition here is a beautiful decorative antique edition of The Poetical Works of Thomas Hood. Published in 1911 by Henry Frowde for Oxford Univeristy Press. Extremely comprehensive it is known as the Oxford Complete Copyright Edition.
Inside the pages are in excellent condition being clean, bright and tightly bound. Has an inked inscription on the verso of the frontispiece but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. Has the portrait frontis of Hood, else unillustrated. Gilt edged on all sides and this has stayed shiny bright. With marble endpapers.
Red padded faux leather covered boards are decorated on the front and spine. The front has Art Nouveau Glasgow School cabbage roses in cream and gilt titles. There are gilt roses in the compartments on the spine. The front has remained in very good conditon with just a little rubbing to the corners. Has a slightly faded area on the back. The spine has dulled slightly in comparison to the front but the gilt has remained shiny.
