1910s Christmas Books by Charles Dickens / Collins Clear-Type Press, London / 5 Christmas Stories / Illustrated / Includes A Christmas Carol

In very good condition, here is a beautiful antique version of Charles Dickens' five Christmas books. Undated but would have been published in the 1910s by Collins Clear-Type Press, London. With eight black and white illustrations and in a lovely dark maroon red faux leather binding. The only real condition point to note is some cracking of the faux leather at the very top of the spine.

The five books are: A Christmas Carol; The Chimes; The Cricket and the Hearth; The Battle of Life and The Haunted Man. 

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or markings of previous ownership. Has a frontispiece illustration and seven further black and white plates. All edges are shiny gilt.

The dark red faux leather binding is also in top order. With a little faint area of shiny gilt above the titles on the front  (see photos). There is also the above mentioned cracking to the faux leather at the top of the spine. Otherwise clean, bright and un-faded. The gilt decoration is sparkly bright.
