1904 Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen / George Routledge & Sons, London / SCARCE / Beautiful Decorative Binding / In Very Good Condition

A real find this one! In very good condition here is a scarce and beautiful copy of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. Undated, but with a publisher's catalogue at the end from 1904. With an extremely eye-catching binding.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound, with no writing or inscriptions. Has some mild spotting at the beginning and tanning/spotting to the outside edges. Has a black and white illustrated frontispiece, else unillustrated. With decorative chapter head and tail pieces.

In the original publisher's tan cloth covered boards with lovely floral decoration to the front and spine, plus three Regency ladies in blue and yellow. Again in very good order. Has a few faint dark marks at the top and bottom of the front board. With slight rubbing to the cloth on the corners and spine ends, and with some rubbing to the white flowers on the spine to remove a little of the white. The gilt is shiny and bright, and this is a very attractive book indeed.
