1903 The Lyric Poems of Alfred Lord Tennyson / JM Dent & Co., London / Excellent Condition / Highly Decorative Boards / Appears Un-Read

In excellent condition, here is a beautiful pocket-sized antique copy of The Lyric Poems of Alfred Lord Tennyson. Undated but would have been published around the 1900s by JM Dent & Co., London. With gorgeous decorative boards. Around pocket-sized (see dimensions below).

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. In fact it appears un-read as a number of pages have never been opened (see photos). I have left them like this so that the new owner can enjoy opening them with a paper knife of scissor edge in the same way the an Edwardian reader would have done when the book was first published. With an inked inscription to the front free endpaper dated 1903. Has a thin place marker ribbon sewn in. The top edge is gilt, the other sides untrimmed. Has a portrait frontispiece and decorative title page, else unillustrated.

Grey-blue cloth covered boards have lovely ornate gilt decoration to the front and spine. Again all in top order, with the spine having dulled just a little in comparison to the front.
