Here is a scarce early antique copy of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Sign of Four. Being a "Souvenir Edition" of the Sherlock Holmes tale. Published in 1902 by George Newnes Ltd, London. With some wear to the boards (detailed below) but nothing major and this is a super find.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with the odd folded/creased corner. Has a mild bump to some of the corner tips at the front of the book. With lovely floral endpapers. This copy has not been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership. Gilt-edged along the top. The book has a mild lean.

Blue/black cloth covered boards have gilt decoration to the front and spine. With some rubbing and rounding to the cloth at the corners and to the spine ends. With a black ink spot at the head of the spine (see close-up photo). With a few small light marks on the front and back, and with a couple of rubbed areas also on the back (see final photo). The gilt is shiny bright on the front.

An opportunity to obtain an early Sherlock Holmes edition. Your antique copy of The Sign of Four will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to include a gift card and message in the parcel.

H 19.5 cm x W 14 cm, 285 pages, 0.56 kg. I dispatch worldwide daily from the UK. With the exception of a small number of countries.

* If you would prefer for your book not to be decoratively wrapped and sent simply in the full protective packaging please add a note to the order.
