In good condition, here is an antique copy of The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or The Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle For Life by Charles Darwin. Published in 1894 by John Murray, London. This is a Sixth Edition, With Darwin's Last Major Corrections And Revisions. It is incredibly hard to get hold of copies this age still in good condition. This copy is exceptionally bright, square and tight. With just a few light marks to the boards and one small pen line inside being the only condition points of note.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and extremely tightly bound. With tanning and spotting to the endpapers, and just the occasional spot in the text. The top closed edge has some mild toning. There are a few uneven edges from first opening. Has the folding diagram at page 85 still in excellent condition and firmly attached (see photos). Else unillustrated. Has one thin black ink line mark on the front free endpaper (see photos) otherwise this copy has not been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership.

Original dark green cloth covered boards have blind stamped borders to front and back, and gilt titles to the spine. With some faint light marks on the front and back (see final close-up photo) and very slightly to the spine. Has the lightest of rubbing to the corners and spine ends. Otherwise excellent. A very smart copy indeed with shiny gilt titles.
