A stunning edition. Here is a beautiful antique edition of the Life and Adventures of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. Published in 1890 by Frederick Warne & Co., London. Wonderfully illustrated with sixteen colour plates, numerous black and white plates and drawings in the text, and also decorative headers. A large book as it also contains the Further Adventures of Robinson Crusoe.

Inside the pages are tightly bound with no inscriptions or other markings of previous ownership. Has the occasional handling mark and also a few light pencil marks which have been erased. With mild spotting to the endpapers and also to the closed outside edges. Has a couple of slightly nicked page edges. All of the sixteen colour plates are present as called for, and in good condition.

Striking dark green cloth covered boards have ornate decoration to the front and spine and bevelled edges. In amazing condition, with the gilt being sparkly bright and looking extremely eye-catching on display.
