1890s Shirley by Currer Bell (Charlotte Bronte) / Lever Brothers Ltd / Lovely Decorative Antique Hardback / In Good Condition

In good condition here is a lovely antique hardback copy of Shirley A Tale, by Charlotte Bronte. With her pseudonym Currer Bell listed in the title page. Charming decorative boards. Undated but would have been published in the late 1880s or 1890s by Lever Brothers Limited.

Inside opens onto green patterned endpapers. The pages have tanned and there is scattered spotting and some folded corner tips. The outside edges are also tanned. This copy has not been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership.

Red cloth covered boards have delightful decoration to the front and spine. With a little fading and the odd faint mark to the cloth in places. Has some rubbing and rounding to the cloth at the corner tips and spine ends. The head and tail of the spine also has a tiny amount of fraying to the cloth, but minor.
