Dating to the late 19th century (circa 1880s–1890s), this miniature manual was specifically designed to be slipped into a gentleman’s waistcoat or a lady’s evening bag. It served as an indispensable etiquette bible for navigating the strict social rules, choreography, and manners of the Victorian ballroom. Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or markings of previous ownership. Has floral endpapers which have tanned a bit. A few folded corner tips. All edges are shiny gilt.

Grey-blue cloth over boards have decoration and gilt titles to the front and spine. All in very good order. Just the slightest of rubbing to the corners and spine ends, and some very faint dark handling marks - but all minor. A delightful book.
