In good condition, here is an antique hardback copy of The Old Curiosity Shop by Charles Dickens. Published in 1871 by Chapman & Hall, London. Richly illustrated and in good condition for a book of 153 years old.
Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. Has some spotting to the frontispiece and title page. The title page is also loose by a couple of centimetres from the margin at the bottom, but very firmly attached otherwise. With a few small nicks to the page edges. Has some mild tanning to the closed outside edges. With eight full-page black and white plates and many, many more black line drawn illustrations in text.
Light olive-green cloth covered boards have blind-stamped decoration to the front, back and spine and gilt titles. All in very good order, clean and smart, with just some light rubbing to the spine cloth in a couple of places and to the cloth on the corner tips.
