1980 Frankenstein by Mary Shelley / Guild Publishing London / Green Faux Leather and Gilt / Elegant Vintage Edition / In Good Condition

A lovely edition of Mary Shelley's classic novel Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus. This is an elegant faux leather hardback edition published by Guild Publishing, London in 1980. In very good order with the only condition point to note being a faint brown stain mark on the closed bottom page edges, but minor (see final photo). 

Clean, bright and tightly bound pages have no writing or inscriptions. The book opens onto dark green endpapers decorated with an intricate gold pattern. Includes a Preface and Mary Shelley's Introduction to the 1831 edition.

The dark green faux-leather covers have also remained in top order. All of the gilt decoration is sparkly bright both on the front board and on the spine.
