In very good condition here is a first edition copy of Sardanapalus, A Tragedy; The Two Foscari, A Tragedy and Cain, A Mystery by Lord Byron. Published in 1821 by John Murray, London. In a fine Moroccan leather binding with marbled paper sides and endpapers, with gilt to the top edge.
Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has mild spotting through the text and the occasional creased/folded corner. The lovely marbled endpapers have two bookplates (see photos) on the front paste down. There is a small bookseller's catalogue description attached to the top verso of the front free endpaper with a couple of small pencil notations. The gilt along the top edge is shiny bright.
In a dark navy blue Moroccan leather five raised bands to the spine and gilt decoration in each compartment. With just some very slight rubbing to the corners and along the edges, otherwise very good indeed.
Your antique Lord Byron first edition will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. A gift message can be included in the package if desired.
H 23 cm x W 15 cm, 439 pages, 0.83 kg. I dispatch worldwide daily from the UK. (There are just a very few countries which I am unable to ship to).
* If you would prefer for your book not to be decoratively wrapped and sent simply in the full packaging please add a note to the order.
