In very good condition here is a first edition, first issue copy of Marino Faliero Doge of Venice In Five Acts (play) Plus The Prophecy of Dante by Lord Byron. Published in 1821 by John Murray, London. In a fine Moroccan leather binding with marbled paper sides and endpapers, with gilt to the top edge. This is a first issue (with Doge's speech on p.151 having five and one half lines).

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has mild spotting through the text and the occasional brown blemish. The lovely marbled endpapers have two bookplates (see photos) on the front paste down. There is a small bookseller's catalogue description attached to the top verso of the front free endpaper with a couple of small pencil notations. Bound along with the adverts at the rear. The gilt along the top edge is shiny bright.

In a dark green Moroccan leather and marbled paper sides. Has five raised bands to the spine and gilt titles. With just some rubbing to the corners and along the bottom edge, otherwise very good indeed.

Your antique Lord Byron first edition will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. A gift message can be included in the package if desired.

H 23 cm x W 15 cm, 261 pages, 0.62 kg. I dispatch worldwide daily from the UK. (There are just a very few countries which I am unable to ship to).
