1980 Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen / Guild Publishing, London / Dark Green Faux Leather & Gilt / Lovely Vintage Book

A lovely edition of Jane Austen's classic novel Sense and Sensibility. First published in this edition in 1980 by Guild Publishing of London. With beautiful decorative boards. This vintage copy is forty-four years old and so has a few condition points to note, detailed below, but remains a charming book.

The book opens onto dark green endpapers decorated with an intricate gold pattern (see photos). The pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. The pages have tanned, the latter part of the book has more tanning than the first few pages. An unillustrated edition.

In very attractive dark green faux leather boards with intricate gilt decoration to the front and spine. With some mild bumps to the top edge of the back board and to the corners. With a couple of small nicks to the faux leather on the edges (see photos). The gilt has remained sparkly bright.
