1968 Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen / Heron Books , London / Beautiful Dark Blue Faux Leather & Gilt / Illustrated / Excellent Condition

In excellent condition, here is an extremely elegant and attractive edition of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice published by Heron Books, London in 1968. Bound in dark blue faux leather with shiny intricate gilt decoration. With a number of line-drawn illustrations (see photos). From the way the ribbon is still tucked inside the book, it appears un-read.

The pages inside are bright, clean and tightly bound. This copy has never been written in and there are no marks or signs of previous ownership. With attractive, decorative pale grey/blue and gilt endpapers and with a sky blue place marker ribbon.

Dark blue faux leather boards are very striking. Again in top order. These have kept a good deep colour and the gilt is sparkly bright. The spine is excellent with shiny bright gilt and looks extremely eye-catching on display.
