1955 Louisa May Alcott Vintage Book Set / Five Charming Illustrated Volumes / Nelson Doubleday / In Good Condition / Little Women etc.

In good condition, here is a charming vintage collection of five novels by Louisa May Alcott. Undated but published in 1955 by Nelson Doubleday. All richly illustrated with black line drawings and Little Women also has three colour plates.

The set comprises: Little Women Little Men; Eight Cousins; Under the Lilacs and Jack & Jill.

Inside the pages are clean and bright with just the very occasional spot or blemish. There is an inked name and date at the front of two of the volumes, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. With some spotting to the closed outer page edges.

In olive-green and cream faux leather with a vignette on the front of each book. With emerald green title plates and silver decoration. Again in good order, clean and smart. The only condition point to note is some rubbing to the cloth at the spine ends, with a few creases (see close-up photo).
