1950 Boxed Set of The Novels of Jane Austen / Pantheon Books / Vintage Set in Excellent Condition / Pride & Prejudice, Emma, Persuasion etc.

In excellent condition, here is a lovely vintage boxed set of the complete novels of Jane Austen. Published in 1950 by Pantheon Books, New York and so is remarkably 75 years old. With bright colourful boards and in a super matching box. 

Comprises: Sense and Sensibility; Pride and Prejudice; Mansfield Park; Emma; Northanger Abbey; Persuasion.

Inside the contents are all in superb condition. The pages being clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or inscriptions. This is an unillustrated version of Austen's works.

Bound in bright, colourful papered boards with black cloth spine and gilt italic titles. Again all in top order, with just a couple of slight bumps to the top front corners of Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice, but minor.

The papered box is also super, bright and un-faded. There is a small area on one edge missing some surface patterned paper and one bumped corner (see photos). Otherwise looks lovely and remains very strong and so will protect the books for many more years to come.
