In excellent condition here is a lovely vintage two-volume set of The Moths of the British Isles by Richard South. Extensively illustrated in colour and black and white (see photos). Series One has 670 coloured plates and Series Two has 873. Published in 1946 by Frederick Warne & Co., London. 

Inside the books open onto illustrated endpapers, these have a small inked inscription at the top of the front free endpapers (see photos). With no other writing or markings of previous ownership. The pages are all in good condition, clean and tightly bound. With just a few mildly creased corners.

Petrol blue faux leather boards have gilt and black stamped decoration to the fronts and spines. Again in top order with bright shiny gilt.
