An unusual antique hardback edition of Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. Undated but with a school prize inscription from 1938. Published by Hutchinson & Co.,London. With five colour plates, black and white illustrations and maps (see photos). A fairly large format copy - see dimensions below.
Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. With the above-mentioned inscription on the half-title page but with no other writing or markings of previous ownership. The top closed edge is tinted dark blue. Has illustrated endpapers.
In indigo blue cloth covered boards. With blind stamped decoration around the edge of the front and with a paste down illustration. The boards are clean and bright, with just some fading along the edges (mostly to the spine) being the only real condition point to note.
Your antique copy of Gulliver's Travels will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message to the parcel.
