In very good condition, here is a super vintage hardback copy of The Surprising Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Published in 1929 by The Medici Society, London. Richly illustrated with wonderful black line drawings from William Strang R.A. and J.B.Clarke. And with a colour frontispiece.

A lively collection of fantastical adventures, impossible feats, and comic exaggerations that have delighted readers since the 18th century. This edition captures the spirit of the legendary storyteller with period charm and high‑quality Medici production values.

The Surprising Adventures of Baron Munchausen is one of literature’s great comic fantasies, following the Baron through improbable exploits involving cannonballs, sea monsters, moon voyages, and other marvels. This 1929 edition reflects the interwar revival of illustrated classics.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. Has mild tanning to the endpapers. 

Striking yellow cloth over boards have black decoration to the front, and black titles. Some darkening to the boards and tanning to the spine. Otherwise just some very slight rubbing to spine ends.
