1927 First Edition - The Book of the Flower Fairies by Cicely Mary Barker

Those of you that know me will know that this is quite simply one of my favourite books. Here is a lovely vintage hardback copy of The Book of Flower Fairies, Poems and Pictures by Cicely Mary Barker. Undated, but would have been published in 1927 by Blackie & Son Ltd of London. With seventy-two stunning colour plates. Some marks to the green cloth, otherwise super. More details below.

Has an inked name and address on the front free endpaper. (Partially obscured for data protection). Mild spotting to endpapers and occasional spotting and the odd small mark to the text/plates - but minor. All of the colour plates are in excellent condition.

In green cloth-backed boards with gilt decoration and titles to the front and spine. Some scuffing and pale-pink marks to the cloth (see photos and video). Otherwise a clean, tight and square book, with bright gilt.

Your vintage first edition copy of The Book of the Flower Fairies will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message to the parcel.
