A vintage copy of The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. Published in 1926 by Macmillan & Co. of London. With a number of black and white illustrations by J Lockwood Kipling and WH Drake (see photos). In good condition with a little rubbing and bumping to the blue boards, detailed below.
The contents are good being clean and tightly bound, with just the occasional spot or blemish. Has an inscription on the front free endpaper dated 1929. The top closed edge is gilt and with a red decorative title page.
Bright blue boards have a gilt elephant vignette in the centre of the front and eye-catching ornate gilt on the spine. With some mild bumping to the corners and head of the spine and some rubbing to the cloth at the corners and spine ends. Otherwise boards are clean and un-faded with some very slight shelf wear on the back.
