1946 The Jungle Book and The Second Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling / Richly Illustrated / Vintage Book Set in Good Condition

In good condition here is a lovely vintage set of two Rudyard Kipling books: The Jungle Book and The Second Jungle Book. Published in 1946 by Macmillan & Co. of London. With a number of black and white illustrations by J Lockwood Kipling and WH Drake (see photos). With just a couple of condition points to note, detailed below.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. The Jungle Book has had an inscription on the front free endpaper painted over in a colour to match (see photos). Otherwise there is no other writing or markings of previous ownership.

In bright blue cloth covered boards with gilt decoration and titles to the spines. With just some rubbing to the blue cloth to remove a little colour on the edges of The Jungle Book (see photos). The ornate gilt decoration remains bright and this is a very attractive set.
