1910 Emma by Jane Austen: Illustrated Antique Book in Two Volumes

In very good condition, here is a lovely antique copy of Jane Austen's Emma in two volumes. Published in 1910 by Chatto & Windus, London. Richly illustrated in colour with twenty plates in total. Condition in detail below.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. With spotting to the early and latter few pages and outside closed edges. Has an inked-name at the top of an early endpaper in each volume. All of the colour plates are present as called for across the two volumes (a small tear to the fore-edge of a plate in Volume I). Tanning to the frontispiece tissues. Also has bright colourful illustrated endpapers (see photos). A partially cracked hinge to Volume I. The top closed edges are tinted green.

Olive-green cloth over boards have elegant gilt titles plus a locket paste down design to the front upper panels. A couple of small yellow paint marks to Volume I (one to the front, and one to the back panel - see photos). Some bumping to the top corners of Volume II. A little rubbing along the bottom edge. An attractive set, looking extremely eye-catching on display.
