1901 Cranford Book: Illustrated Antique Edition by Elizabeth Gaskell

In excellent condition here is a beautiful antique copy of Elizabeth Gaskell's Cranford. Being a first edition thus published in 1901 by JM Dent & Co., London in their English Idylls series. With twenty-five charming colour illustrations by CE Brock (see photos) and with wonderful decorative boards. I've never come across a copy of this edition in better condition.

Inside the pages are super being clean, bright and tightly bound with just the very occasional spot. Mild tanning to the decorative endpapers. This copy has not been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership. The top edge is gilt.

In pale grey/green cloth over boards with sparkly, shiny gilt decoration to the front and spine. This has all stayed in tip-top condition. Looking extremely eye-catching on display.
