Here is a comprehensive antique edition of The Origin of Species By Means of Natural Selection or The Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle For Life by Charles Darwin. Published in 1900 by John Murray, London. This copy is 118 years old with a couple of minor condition points (detailed below), otherwise in good condition.
Inside the pages are clean, unmarked and tightly bound. With just a few faint creases and mild spotting to the early pages. A couple of pages have a tear on the bottom edge, but not effecting the text. Has a name at the top of the blank front free endpaper but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. With a black and white photogravure portrait frontispiece (with mild spotting), of Darwin and a fold-out chart (intact) otherwise unillustrated. The outside edges have some mild tanning.
Green cloth covered boards have a dark green stamped border and pattern to the front and border to the rear. With white scuff marks to the front (see final close-up photo) and some rubbing to the corners and spine ends.
