In very good condition here is a striking antique copy of The Battles and Battle Fields of Yorkshire From the Earliest Times to the End of the Great Civil War by William Grainge. Undated but would have been published around 1890 by William Harrison, Ripon.
Contents: The Battle of Stamford Bridge; The Battle of The Standard; The Battle of Myton-on-Swale; The Battle of Boroughbridge; The Battle of Byland Abbey; The Battle of Haslewood; The Battle of Wakefield Green; The Battle of Towton; The Battle of Marston Moor; Military History Chronology.
Inside the pages are in good condition - clean, bright and tightly bound. Has an inked inscription dated 1911 on the half-title page but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. Has mild tanning and spotting to the outside edges with toning along the top edge. With an illustrated frontispiece and decorative chapter headers and footers. Has a sixteen-page publisher's catalogue at the end.
Blue cloth covered boards have gilt decoration and titles to the front and spine. Again all in top order with the gilt having remained sparkly bright. With some slight rubbing and fraying of the cloth at the head and tail.
Your antique copy of The Battles and Battle Fields of Yorkshire will be wrapped with great care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to include a gift message in the parcel if desired.
H 19.5 cm x W 13 cm, 184 pages plus 16-page illustrated publisher's catalogue at the rear, 0.36 kg. I dispatch worldwide daily from the UK. (There are just a very few countries which I am unable to ship to).
* If you would prefer your book not to be decoratively wrapped but sent simply in the full protective packaging, please add a note to the order.
