1981 Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte / Franklin Library / Beautiful Red Faux Leather & Gilt / Illustrated / In Good Condition

In good condition, this is a beautiful copy of Charlotte Bronte's classic novel Jane Eyre. Published by The Franklin Library in 1981. An illustrated edition.

Produced to the high quality standards to be expected from Franklin. In addition there is included a Preface by the author and black and white illustrations by Skip Liepke (see photos).

The pages are clean, crisp and bright. The gilt to the edges remains sparkly on all three sides, with a few light scuffs. Opens onto attractive marbled endpapers. With a dark red satin ribbon marker sewn in. This copy has not been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership.

The red faux leather boards also remain excellent. The gilt stamped decoration is as new and the boards appear quite stunning. The red of the spine has faded just a little in comparison to the sides, the gilt remaining shiny bright.
