In good condition here is a charming vintage edition of two of Charles Dickens' Christmas Books. A Christmas Carol and The Cricket on the Hearth was published in 1975 by JM Dent & Sons, Ltd of London. With four colour plates (by Brock), black and white illustrations and decoration in the text (see photos).
Inside the pages are in good condition being clean and bright. There are some foxing spots along the closed outside top edge. Has a name at the top of the front free endpaper but no other writing or markings of previous ownership.
In the original dust wrapper which is clean and bright with just a couple of small nicks along the edges. Has a clear piece of book tape at the top of the wrapper on the front and wrapping around onto the spine, presumably put there to mend a nicked corner. It is very hard to spot and is expertly done. The jacket has been price-clipped on the inside flap and has now been protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve.
