In good condition, here is a lovely antique collection of Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales. Beautifully illustrated by W Heath Robinson. Undated but would have been published in 1923 for Hodder & Stoughton, London. With sixteen exquisite colour plates and many more line drawings (see photos).

Contents: The Marsh King's Daughter; Tommelise; The Snow Queen (in seven parts); Elfin-Mount; The Little Mermaid; The Storks; The Nightingale; The Wild Swans; The Real Princess; The Red Shoes; The Emperor's New Clothes; The Swineherd; The Flying Trunk; The Leaping Match; The Shepherdess and the Chimney-Sweeper; The Ugly Duckling; The Naughty Boy.

Inside the book opens with illustrated endpapers. There is a crack here to the front hinge to reveal webbing, but the binding remains good and strong. Has tanning and spotting to the endpapers, and spotting occasionally in the text. Has tanning and spotting also to the closed outside edges. Has a few creased corners.

In bright mustard yellow cloth covered boards with black and blue decoration. In top order, with just some very slight rounding to the corners and spine ends.
