1920s Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens by JM Barrie : 24 Rackham Plates

An early issue 1920s edition of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens by JM Barrie. With 24 superb colour plates by Arthur Rackham. Published by Hodder and Stoughton, London. The text and cloth are in very good condition, with some wear to the edges of some of the plates.

Opens onto super map endpapers. Pages are clean and tightly bound. Sporadic spotting. No inscriptions. All of the 24 colour plates are present. Several have nicks, creases and chips to the edges, with a couple of small losses to corners. Closed outside edges have mild tanning.

Olive-green cloth over boards have gilt decoration to the front and spine. In very good order. Mild rubbing/bumping to the corners and rubbing to spine ends. Some faint light marks to the edge of the front board - but minor. Otherwise clean and smart, with shiny bright gilt.
