1916 Alice Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll / Antique Pocket-Sized Edition / With Scarce Dust Jacket / Illustrated by John Tenniel

Here is a lovely antique pocket-sized edition of Alice Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll. The book is in very good condition, having been well protected by the original scarce dust wrapper (which has wear). Richly illustrated throughout with the original drawings of John Tenniel (see photos). Published in 1916 by Macmillan and Co., London in what they called their "Miniature Edition" (see dimensions).

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound, with no writing or inscriptions. Has some tanning to the endpapers and outside edges.

In red cloth covered boards with gilt central vignette and gilt titles to the spine.

The dust jacket has a good deal of wear to the edges, corners and joints, with some splits, chips and areas of loss. It has been stabilised on the inside with archival tape and has been protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve. With tanning to the spine.
