1913 Provincial Russia by Haenen and Stewart / A&C Black London / 32 Super Plates in Colour and Line / / With Some Wear / Antique Book

Here is an interesting copy of Provincial Russia - Painted by F de Haenen and Described by Hugh Stewart. Published in 1913 by Adam and Charles Black, London. With sixteen colour plates, and sixteen in black and white. This antique book is 112 years old and has a few condition points to note, detailed below.

Contents: Central Russia; The North; The Urals; The Volga; An Eastern Government; Provincial Towns; White Russia; Little Russia; The Steppe; The Crimea.

Inside the book has not been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership. Has some water staining around the outside edges of the first few pages. With some folded down corners and the occasional brown blemish. All of the thirty-two plates are present and in good order. Lacks the sketch-map from the end of the book. The top closed edge is gilt (with some scuffs and light marks).

Maroon-red cloth covered boards have gilt decoration to the front and spine. Has faint marks to all sides and some rubbing to the cloth on the corners, spine ends and next to the spine on the front. The gilt titles remain shiny bright.
