Here is a lovely antique edition of The Bird's Christmas Carol by Kate Douglas Wiggin. Published in 1912 by Houghton Mifflin Company. With delightful illustrations and decorations throughout. This copy still has the scarce dust wrapper. The book is in good condition. There is a lot of wear to the wrapper but I have included it with the book now in a protective plastic sleeve because it is so rare to still find one. In addition the book will be sent with a matching Christmas card and envelope.

A charming novella, The Birds' Christmas Carol was first published in 1887. It’s a heart warming and sentimental story that reflects the themes of generosity, compassion, and the spirit of Christmas, particularly through the lens of childhood innocence and love for others. Wiggin, best known for her later novel Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, was also a pioneer in early childhood education and a philanthropist, and her humanitarian concerns shine through here.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or inscriptions. 

The colour on the boards and spine have faded a bit over time and there is some light rubbing to the cloth on the corners.
 
As mentioned above the jacket has some areas of loss, tears and tape marks. It has now been placed inside a removable archival plastic sleeve.
