1902-1908 Five Antique London Guides / Mayfair, Westminster, Hammersmith, etc. / Fold Out Maps + Illustrated Frontispieces / Antique Books

Here are five charming antique Edwardian guides in the Fascination of London series. Being Mayfair, Westminster, Hammersmith, Hackney, Hammersmith and Clerkenwell. All published between 1902 and 1908 by Adam and Charles Black of London. Each opens with an illustrated frontispiece and they have  fold-out maps at the ends. Just slightly larger than pocket-sized (see dimensions below).

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Hackney has had the front free endpaper cut out (see final photo). A couple of the books have more than one map. All of the fold-out maps are in top order, with just one split along one joint of a map in Hammersmith. The frontispiece illustrations have tissue guards, else the books are unillustrated. Top edges are gilt (with a few marks and light scuffs including a few white paint specks).

Bound in olive-green cloth covered boards. All with gilt titles to the spines. The gilt title on Mayfair has faded a bit in comparison to the others. With some light marks and a few scuffs to the green cloth, and rounded corners. There are some white paint specks also to some of the boards, but they are specks - nothing too obtrusive.
